More On Apple iPhone…

Posted on January 10th, 2007 by Simon Chen

Our lead programmer, Ben sent me this early this morning. Our paths must have crossed regarding the previous post about Apple’s foray into the mobile market.

Sorry — your Blackberries are obsolete. Apple’s just released a quad-band GSM/EDGE & Wi-Fi phone, with multi-finger touch screen and wide-screen movie/video/music playback, plus full e-mail (IMAP and POP, with HTML support) and web browsing (including Google Maps built in). It runs Mac OS X, includes a 2 megapixel camera, and is way more powerful than any of the current smartphones.

Pricing is USD499 for 4GB, or USD599 for 8GB; it’ll be available in the US in June, Europe in Oct-Dec, and Asia in 2008.

You can check out Apple’s release here.
