Our lead programmer, Ben sent me this early this morning. Our paths must have crossed regarding the previous post about Apple’s foray into the mobile market.
Sorry — your Blackberries are obsolete. Apple’s just released a quad-band GSM/EDGE & Wi-Fi phone, with multi-finger touch screen and wide-screen movie/video/music playback, plus full e-mail (IMAP and POP, with HTML support) and web browsing (including Google Maps built in). It runs Mac OS X, includes a 2 megapixel camera, and is way more powerful than any of the current smartphones.Pricing is USD499 for 4GB, or USD599 for 8GB; it’ll be available in the US in June, Europe in Oct-Dec, and Asia in 2008.
