Maybe.

It’s common practice now for employees of high tech firms to author their own blogs. And what is refreshing is that most of these people post freely, without fear or retribution from their employer about the content (and conversation) that is generated.

Matt Cutts from Google has a well respected blog - and you can be sure Google’s PR and legal folks watch the site like a hawk, as Matt is well respected in the blogosphere.

Personally, I don’t reckon Microsoft Live will get the traction. It’s not niche like some of the smaller search players like Snap or ASK. I also believe that leading the search race depends on available talent and fostering that talent.

The cynics might say that Google’s search platform is now equalled or bettered by Yahoo! or Microsoft Live. That may be true. And the gap that Google once had in terms of relevance and efficiency may be narrowing.

But who would YOU work for?
