Why Search Is The Future?

If you’ve got anything to do with business and the internet isn’t keeping you awake at night, then you either drink more than I do or have found the secret to life.

This quote from Jack Welch should be echoed by every business owner…”When asked what priority the internet was, Welch replied, It’s 1, 2, 3 and 4″.

And in business, that’s the way it should be.

More importantly, the entire area of Search - both paid and organic should be recieving as much attention as you can give it.

For a start, buy everyone in your company this book.

The book, appropriately titled “The Search” is written by John Battelle. His blog is here.

John Battelle is one of the foremost authorities on Search today and is highly regarded by the folks at Google.

I sense that Marissa Mayer, Google’s VP of Search Products & User Experience is a fan of John’s and since the company went public, folks like Marissa are appearing to work harder at co-operating with the industry commentators and critics alike.
