They’ve even worked out how to give bloggers a hard time. If you write your own blog (as you should) one of the most frustrating things you’ll soon notice is that you’ll be inundated with “spam” posts.
It starts to piss you off after a while and as your blog traffic grows, you’ll spend more time administering the site than worrying about delivering actual content.
Don’t worry though. There’s an answer. It’s called Akismet.
Stop’s spam cold. And it’s free to install. It’s what the open source community is all about.

Thank you for this tip. A few months ago, I shut down a blog because the problem was out of control, now I have a tool to deal with it.
