More Than Just Search…

Marissa Mayer

Interesting video of Marissa Mayer, VP of Search Products and User Experience at Google.

Since I’ve been ranting a little bit about video, watch how ABC TV in the US monetise the clip by making you watch the commercial before the content.

Ponder this.

Now age 30, Marissa joined Google when she was 23. She was employee number 20 - no one is quite sure but that’s close enough.

Her net worth today - given the stock price is US$395 - is roughly around the “coupla hundred” million mark.

She works like an absolute dog - or so the blogs tell me.

I stopped snooping around on Google because it’s none of my business (but I was interested to see what happened when I typed in “marissa mayer net worth”) on the search engine which has as it’s mantra “our goal is to organise the world’s information”.

Can you still be driven when your personal net worth is that high?

One viewing of this video will give you the answer.
